ABOUT US

seventy + mochi is a female led denim brand, known for consciously crafted denim items, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to sustainability. We are looking for a Fashion Technical Manager to join our dynamic team and help us maintain and elevate our standards of excellence. This role is based in West Sussex and requires at least 3 days based in the office as well as travel to our factories as needed.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Fashion Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, fit, and technical accuracy of our collections. You will be collaborating with designers, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure that each product meets the highest standards from concept to final production and well as growing the team as we expand into more product categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the technical design and development process, including fit, grading, and construction.
- Ensure all garments meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.
- Oversee fittings and revisions to ensure accurate and timely production.
- Collaborate with designers and product development teams to resolve any technical challenges.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the production process runs smoothly.
- Monitor the quality of prototypes and final products, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and sustainable production practices.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical management role within the fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and grading.
- Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) and CAD.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of sustainable practices in fashion production, specifically denim is a plus.
